MATIN DES PYRENEES FIG JAM. Pyrenean cooking is based on the very best of simple, fresh ingredients. This jam is traditionally made in the heart of the Ariège, at Lorp Sentaraille in France. Use as a base for desserts such as tarts or turnovers, a topping for ice cream or on its own, hot or cold served with a dollop of whipped cream. Spread on fresh toast or bagels. Makes an ideal accompaniment to soft cheeses.
